Santiago's Bones (Dominican Republic)

Here's a short poem about my visit of Santiago in January 2024 accompanied with photography.

Metal joins together,

Cranes erected above the clouds,

It's Santiago's bones,

The foundation of tomorrow.

While those left behind watch

The red boxes in the sky

At the verge of forgetting

That Santiago lives today.
